He wasn’t a Man. A Man doesn’t shake hands sitting down. A Man doesn’t give limp-wrist handshakes either. If you carry yourself as a Man, a Man WILL give you the respect of a Man. If he cannot, it is because he isn’t a Man. Doesn’t mean that you have to be friends or even like each other, but a Man will still show you respect.

 

Lost my dad in 2003, on my daughter’s birthday. So kind of a bitter sweet day. What I wouldn’t give to have one more opportunity to drown a few worms, have some cold ones and just sit there and LISTEN to what words of wisdom he would try to impart on me.

Lord I miss him each and everyday.

I know what you mean. So many questions I'd like to ask Dad and Mom ,lost her in 2012. Both my grandfather's died before I was born. All of Dad's and Mom's brothers and sisters are gone also. Thing's I never thought to ask them when they were here , because you just think they'll be around forever.

 

Here's an idea ...Fix the rusty spots with Grey bondo ... Clear Coat the paint and bondo ...Drive it for short trips to town ...

I tried it, but I guess I’m to old, set in my ways and jaded — way I see it, we start out thinking we’re bulletproof— then after awhile being bulletproof and invisible is money— and then when the Grandcritters hit the deck we turn into a pile of chocolate mess — add a couple of Griff pups into the mix and nobody recognizes you anymore— that’s what I see as success

All you need to do is practice what my mother taught me...the art of selective hearing. I use it on my wife all the time.
