If there were no plumbers, we would literally have “no place to go”

Well that escalated fast. Sorry, I should have paid more attention, I would have at the very least given you a ride to Iowa City.

Fun fact: when I moved to Iowa in 2018, I briefly worked for one of the lesser known Hummers. It's a pretty colorful family but they did all right by me I guess, just didn't pay enough to keep me around.

Anyway, good luck man. I hope everything works out for ya.

I guess I didn't think this all the way through and should have added "unless it's small engine/mower repair around Omaha ".

Seems to me 40:1 won’t really hurt something that typically takes 50:1 aside from maybe a little smoke.

I’d be a bit concerned about the reverse though.

I pulled a pipe wrench for a couple years. It’s good work.

And they have been closing the Husqvarna plant in Nashville, Arkansas paring down jobs for the last year. To be closed by the end of the year. Moving production to Brazil and China. 700 jobs lost.

Well this ubering thing has been paying the bills with money left over but I can't get to excited about wearing out a nice car prematurely so I've been keeping my out eye out since the divorce from FCC in June along with the 30 days at hill bros. And the 7 days at hummer lol.
This morning over coffee before hitting the streets I hit the driver employment apps again for a good fit for me ...its been pretty dismal but what that hell right ?
But bingo ! I came up with a farmer very close to me in iowa that farms 2600 acres looking for a driver to pull a hopper bottom hauling grain within 50 miles of council bluffs going to the grain processing facilities in council bluffs .
25 bucks an hour , nice equipment, 8 hour days other than harvest and no weekends other than harvest .
We met for breakfast, then I got a quik tour of his farms and sealed the deal pending my mvr that is spotless .
No work in snow storms, blizzards or ice storms .
I think this will be a good fit for both of us and I'll have a 2 mile drive to work...with most loads on the iowa side of the river in territory I'm familiar with when I worked for the county years ago .
