What if I apply and they take me, I've only been at my current company for 9 months and I've been driving for about 7 months, I wanted to do a year with them so other companies didn't consider me as a job hopper lol, I've applied to them before, in fact I wanted to go with them from the jump, but they said I needed at least 6 months experience before joining them, that's why I went with Cypress, but it can't hurt to try.

If they take you, that's a really.good thing. The reason it makes sense to stay at Cypress is if you owe them for CDL training. I don't know if they have a school or not. If they do, and you went to their school, it makes sense to finish out the contract prior to jumping ship. If they are willing to take you, go for it. It'll only be your 2nd job. If you start a pattern of going to a new job every 3-6 months, then you'll be considered a job hopper. Since you really wanted to drive for Indian River, I'm inclined to believe that you will stay there for a while. Starter companies already have it in their minds most newbies aren't going to stay. That's why the pay isn't very good at most of them.

    Really?

    1) For trucks, the middle lane is the passing lane.

    2) In the right lane you only need to watch out for the traffic on three sides instead of four.

    3) In the right lane you have the shoulder as an escape route if you need it.

    4) In many road segments keep right except to pass is required. You've seen the signs.

    5) It's common courtesy to avoid obstructing other trucks. Buy a CB.

Great points. Also, sight is extremely limited when passing on the right. M

My Grandmother and four very young cousins were all seriously injured because some flip flopper passed a center lane traveling truck on the right rear and rear ended them on the highway.

A professional knows the laws and knows he can't see anything in the right hand lane when passing another large vehicle on the right.

Yeah, they do have a school and no I didn't went there with them, I went to a private school and got my own CDL. But you're right, there's some major things that I don't like about my current company. I guess it would hurt to re-apply.
