Luckily it just looks like a trash compactor. I’m not sure what it is. It has a roof and doors but is set up for a roll off type truck with a winch cable.

my entertainment for the evening. This guy had the aft saddle walk out from under his tank. I think the only thing that caught it was his oversize load sign. Hopefully the tank wasn’t damaged, it looked awfully close to the transition of the trailer.

even the heavy haul segment of the industry is being invaded buy the flip flop and gym shorts type of driver. I kind of expected more from a one truck operation.

Everybody’s different, has different needs, different opinions, different wants, different ‘normals’ ….trying to smash everyone through the same mold doesn’t work. Something you love, someone else hates, something you find good others find repulsive… takes all kinds. No one way is ‘right’ or ‘wrong’.
I grew up a ‘city’ kid in the shadow of NYC. I don’t expect everyone to like the NJ way… but others can’t expect me to like the backwoods way either…. Most streets are two ways….. now back to our regularly scheduled program… Snackbar: One man’s struggle in the real world….

I'm not trying to argue pros/cons of unions, my point with that was some people want to retire and actually enjoy life, not slave away making someone else richer until they die. We both know how common it is for truckers to be found in their trucks. Yeah, they may not all be 70+, but still, it sucks. As for big city vs small town, that's fine, different strokes for different folks. Idk that I'd want to raise kids somewhere like nyc or Chicago as much as I love visiting them

"And your argument has only solidified my opinion that MOST union members are self centered entitled whining crybabies that if they don't get their way they throw a hissy fit temper tantrum worse than a teenager who just had their cell phone taken away."

Sounds like someone on this forum. lol

I say more power to them Boeing needs to fire a level of executives anyway - get what you can. And if others want that level of protection they would have taken up a job with union protection, many in our field wanted freedom so we chose trucking, horses for courses.

Anyway hopefully one way or another it ends before it really messes you guys up, though from what I’m seeing your red trucks are finding more accounts, I’m sure they’ll share…

yeah, we'll get their undesirable table scraps. :laughing-guffaw:

I did see quite a few red Pete's pulling whole trailer loads of bright shiny red dumpsters rolling east the past couple days. I am guessing headed to the hurricane disaster zone. Maybe they'll be busy hauling stuff into there and we'll get some of their overflow.
