In other news, both of my stinkin’ Lincoln’s got an oil change so i won’t have to worry about that until the start of next summer at the earliest IMG_4408.jpeg IMG_4409.jpeg

I saw another Town Car in a very rare color last month when i went to Dillon’s so i had to get a picture of it with mine

Looks like i’ll be staying home for an extra day. That Henry load has a Friday morning appointment so i tried and failed to get it moved up. Kind of pointless to leave tomorrow so i’ll leave Thursday morning instead

A question for you or anyone that knows.
I've done that same load assignment that you have mentioned and taken the fuel route sent by FCC going back through Tennessee.

When hurricane / Storm "Helen" hit Tennessee and North Carolina it destroyed some highways and interstate.

The last time I pick-up a load of tires from that place and got to Tennessee the DOT had truck drivers taking US74 it was something that I will never do again.

My question is did you find the highway or interstate now going through Tennessee open towards the direction for the delivery or did you ask for a different route?

I might be confused. But 74 terminates in Cleveland TN

Did you head from NC to Morrison for the load?

I started out in Rocky Top and just took 40 to TN111 - TN55

I don’t know where you are coming from, but 40 at the TN/NC line is still closed.

    Silverdriver Thanks this.

    Thanks you.
Last night when Modlite11 asked me the question my memory went blank and much later I recalled that I pick up the load actually some were in NC.

    Ok! I'm officially old! lol

I have a friend that we both have the same age and that guy you can ask him... "Where can I find parking at this state driving on this interstate?

He would quickly tell you several truck parking stops by memory and he was right!

    I admire his ability.

The memory is such a powerful and wonderful thing but for some people like myself I'm starting to get some glitches. lol

The one nice thing about going senile is you meet new people every day :). The memory is the 2nd thing that goes... I don't remember what the 1st thing is :laughing-guffaw:
