There is definately a ton of difference in the farmed and the wild. I live right on the big river and we eat any yella cat that we catch. We catch all we need in nets in the early spring. The only blues and channel we keep for ourselves are small, the rest goes to whomever wants em. I wont eat fish out of some of the large still water lakes in the delta account of they live on the muddy bottoms and do smell and taste like the mud, and some like the bullheads cant be eaten in any fashion. So it depends on the fish and where, what time uh year and how they were caught. A fish from a net tastes much better than one thats been twisting on a trotlin all nite.
We always have freezers with fish in them that are good. But a few of us when we have a cookin, we serve our caught fish to the guests and we have a small cooker out of the way, with our own private stock, that came out of Simmons Catfish Factory in Yazoo City.

50 degrees today at the homestead it’s not supposed to be cold until Wednesday the front yard is green the backyard is brown due to leaf cover. Low will be in the high 30s so minimal burning of hydrocarbons.

They already are. Most non performance vehicles are limited to 110. My 94 Cheyenne was limited to 100.
All the top of the food chain bikes are limited LIMITED to 180 mph.

Dad took me, and sometimes cousins or a friend, down to these old barges on The Monongahela River in Pittsburgh.

    Night fishing.

Now a days I'm certain they'd imprison you for child endangerment.

One slip, you're toast. We had two Coleman lanterns, and we'd cook hot dogs on top of the lanterns.

Went dozens of times. Real America.

I shall now attempt to find the picture of a 10 or 11 year old Dave with the large prized channel cat lol.
