The downside of dry van companies is that many have switched to spring ride, and most dry vans are plate trailers, so they are springy and bouncy. Most reefers are air ride and are less flexible so they don't jar and whip you as bad. The only trailers that ride better than a air ride reefer is a spread axle trailer.

I honestly don’t notice THAT much of a difference between the two when you’re fully loaded. Maybe it’s because of how our trailers are ordered, or of course it also depend on how the trailer is loaded as well. All of our older trailers are air ride while most of our newer ones are spring ride. Our newest ones are a mix for some reason. I will say that you can definitely tell the difference if you’re pulling one empty or lightly loaded. The truck pulling said trailer also makes a difference

did Magnum start hauling some new freight? I was stopped at the rest area just north of Le Sueur a couple days ago and saw a truck pulling a Menards trailer, then 15 minutes later i saw another one pulling a conestoga

What’s with the rash of bad reviews i saw on here? Most of them were posted after i left. Of course i take all reviews with a grain of salt and a couple of them definitely seem like people just venting.

I can’t imagine a whole lot has changed in the past couple years since i’ve drove a blue truck, for better or worse

    JForce28 Thanks this.

Alls good with me, but I’ve been here coming up on 20 years so yes seniority does have its advantages. Get home on time and take as much time off as I want

JForce28, Knucklehead, Winnyf1 and 2 others Thank this.

That a better OTR hometime schedule than most out there. I looked into Magnum a while back and they weren't paying very good cpm but maybe it's a good trade off. I'm currently taking a break from trucking but shall return

    Knucklehead Thanks this.
