Bit of snow on the ground here in Elkhart, IN:

 

Delivered a bunch of huge paper rolls here in Elkhart.

Appointment was for 7:00am.

Arrived at 6:20am.

Left at 6:50am.

12 minutes total from the time I bumped the dock and set the brakes to the time I was pulling out with paperwork in hand.

Wish they all went like that.

 

Looks like the Loves at CR17.

 

Delivered coolers to a new publix in Ga yesterday morning then got sent to greenville, sc to load up plastic bins going to Sam’s Club DC in Oswego, IL for 1100 tomorrow morning. Stopped at the J in Spiceland to get marker lights fixed on the trailer. Left turn signal doesn’t stay on as a running light, wires or plug corroded I believe and the right one is held on by duct tape. I got more than enough time so I figured Id let a shop fix it instead of pulling my tools out in the cold. Said a few hrs cuz no techs available but a couple arrived and two trucks are ahead of me. Hopefully they aren’t heavy repairs. Hoping to get ahead of the winter storm coming through, will see what they do with me after empty tomorrow.

 

Got to Sam’s DC 1015 for 1100 appt and no docks open of course. Get called at 1230 thankfully and empty and out at almost 1430. Needed a 34 so planner had me grab a cascades load off the knight yard in joliet due Monday at 11 in Wisconsin, been there before so easy peasy. That yard was a cluster and a half, hirschbach yard actually. Parked at the Loves in Wadsworth, IL near the Wisconsin line cuz I was not staying on that yard for a 34. That southern tire I got repaired at yesterday in Spiceland had a unfortunate theft happen Thursday night. Somebody broke into their connex boxes and stole 90 tires. Shop manager was worried he was gonna get fired over it, felt bad for him cuz that is a lot of lost money there considering how much truck tires cost.
