Scale in when arriving, get unloaded, and scale back out when empty.

Today was one of those days, when everything goes wrong. Had a heck of time getting loaded this morning. Broker gave the wrong pick #, after several hours we finally got that straight.

As I’m coming down the hill to
cross the Delware water gap bridge I hear a loud boom. Thought initially it was a tire, but immediately lost all boost pressure, coasted to the exit and popped the hood, upon inspection the intake hose from the charge air cooler going to the intake manifold had come loose. Was able to get back on the road in about 10 minutes.

And the final indignity of the day was Western Express coming over too soon and almost taking my hood off in Pennsylvania. I literally had to take evasive action onto the shoulder and jam the brakes.

Finally stopped near Youngstown and just finished a nice meal at Bob Evan’s, so life is good.

Why is it always Western Express that does that stuff. And yet Swift is the butt of all the jokes

I remember when I worked in the warehouse at Unilever Western Distress would deliver cardboard and one driver never could back the truck up to the dock. Even when the lot was pretty big he couldn’t get it done. Another driver always backed it in for him.

You can fax it or email them to self-certify, that's what I do and haven't had any issues.

    Time to play catch up.

    66hrs off duty in Barstow

Arrived at the job site at 6:20 for my 7am delivery. Beat the workers there, so I pulled most of my straps off except for what I deemed necessary to move to where they would unload me.

Unload, cruise over to Costa Mesa as preplanned. With my windows down mind you all. It was a beautiful 58 degreee morning. Warming up to a nice 65 or so according to the dash.

Heading to deshler NE for Thursday or Friday delivery. Prob gonna be Friday.

See that’s why I can’t pull flatbed. If I had 66 hours to kill in Barstow I would’ve been getting my wheels polished in the middle of winter.

That starter isn't the hardest one to replace.... but that Laaaaast bolt will make you cuss out loud. There are a few 4.6 V-8s running around minus one mounting bolt on the starter.
