Mini fridge stopped working with inverter but other appliances do?

It sounds like a blown fuse or circuit breaker in the fridge popped.

 

I’m not sure if it would have caused the mini fridge issue, but the beep could’ve been a voltage warning if you’re in very cold weather. Even with my APU running, running my air fryer when it was in the negatives caused the truck to go into load shed and the inverter to beep for a few seconds while it was on. A fridge doesn’t draw that much power at all compared to an air fryer, but just an idea. The stove might’ve been enough to cause a voltage warning though

Maybe something like that could’ve caused a blown fuse or something?

The fuse for the fridge might be a round cap on the outside back of the fridge where the power cord goes into the fridge. If you know the make and model of the fridge I would google for the PDF version of the manual and read through it about a fuse.

 

Have you looked for a fuse? Replace the fuse and your fridge starts working again.

 

I would turn off your inverter and look to see if the GFI popped. Plug the fridge into a different power outlet you know is working, like in a shop or company terminal, etc. That will tell you if the problem is your fridge or your outlet connected to the inverter.

Just staring at the fridge and doing nothing is not going to make it work.

 

Ive had this happen. Had some older batterys and when it got cold enough even my laptop could cause issues with power. It actully ended up popping several fuses when it got to -40. Batterys dont like cold and can do weird things when its like -20 or below especially if worn.

 

Have you tried the fridge with the truck running? The startup draw on them is crazy, and if the truck's off the fridge can kick the inverter into overload.
