I have a 1500 watt Tundra inverter in my truck. Just had it installed a couple of weeks ago at a company terminal. The first company truck I had, had a 3000 watt inverter from the previous driver and I had no problems having my mini fridge and hot stove plugged in at the same time. After it went out, I was told the company only installs 1500 watt. So after getting the 1500 watt inverter anytime I cook with the hot stove, I would unplug the mini fridge. Last night, I did the same thing. Unplugged mini fridge then used hot stove. After I got done with the hot stove and unplugged it then plugged the mini fridge, after a couple hours I started hearing a beeping sound coming from the inverter. After turning off the inverter then turning it back on, I plugged the fridge back in and didn’t hear the beep. Next morning, the fridge wasn’t cold at all but my hot skillet and phone charger still draws power. What is this?
Mini fridge stopped working with inverter but other appliances do?

I’m not sure if it would have caused the mini fridge issue, but the beep could’ve been a voltage warning if you’re in very cold weather. Even with my APU running, running my air fryer when it was in the negatives caused the truck to go into load shed and the inverter to beep for a few seconds while it was on. A fridge doesn’t draw that much power at all compared to an air fryer, but just an idea. The stove might’ve been enough to cause a voltage warning though
Maybe something like that could’ve caused a blown fuse or something?

The fuse for the fridge might be a round cap on the outside back of the fridge where the power cord goes into the fridge. If you know the make and model of the fridge I would google for the PDF version of the manual and read through it about a fuse.

I would turn off your inverter and look to see if the GFI popped. Plug the fridge into a different power outlet you know is working, like in a shop or company terminal, etc. That will tell you if the problem is your fridge or your outlet connected to the inverter.
Just staring at the fridge and doing nothing is not going to make it work.xzmpt and Thrasher28 Thank this. -
xzmpt, hope not dumb twucker and Thrasher28 Thank this.

Have you tried the fridge with the truck running? The startup draw on them is crazy, and if the truck's off the fridge can kick the inverter into overload.
Thrasher28 Thanks this. -
Guys, the tundra inverter is a modified sine wave inverter and it is dirty.
get a pure sine wave inverter.
