From my company truck. I’ll just throw it on the top bunk and strap it down then put it back whenever they want their truck back. I want to remove it for three reasons.
It shakes a lot for some reason. Vibrates and makes noise.
I want to put a portable air conditioner where it is. (I haven’t worked out how I will do this yet or if it will work, I’m hopeful.)
I don’t use it or need it.
I don’t want to damage the truck or cause any problems, but I think it would be nice to have that extra space.
Is this a bad idea?
Can I remove the passenger seat from a company truck?

Not a good idea to have something like that riding in the bunk. You jam on the brakes hard enough it might end up busting your skull. Talk to your shop about it maybe they can fix it or remove it. Try airing it up if it's sitting on the floor and see if that helps.

Just cut a hole in the back of the sleeper, put an A/C in the hole.

Portable A/C consumes a lot of electricity. Think of running a 1000 watt microwave for HOURS. Portable (wheel around units) are twice as expensive, half as effective as a window unit AC.
If you don't have a big APU & power inverter you are not running any portable or window A/C.Tb0n3, broke down plumber, FullMetalJacket and 4 others Thank this. -
If u a company driver just ask the shop to do it.. I'm sure u wouldn't be the first driver to request that... I would not put it on the top bunk. Those seats are alot heavier than they look and awkward to lift.. I had quite a difficult time just getting mine out of my 386 pete. A couple years ago. It's tough to carry around...I'm not sure I'd be able to lift it over my head. I'd guess they are probably 50-60 pounds
Taking out is easy. 4 floor bolts and a seatbelt bolt and a 1/4 inch quick connect airlinebroke down plumber, Walk Among Us, Speedy356 and 5 others Thank this. -
Company’s don’t want drivers tinkering with anything on the truck. My first gig they wouldn’t let’ us replace the wipers. Take it to a shop they said. So we did.
Ask the company and see what they say.snowlauncher, broke down plumber, 201 and 6 others Thank this. -
Some companies allow the driver to remove the passenger seat, so ask the shop about that.

Is your truck "car hop" ready?
If not -- why not fix that, too....so you can be properly waited on at those drive-in restaurants during your DOT rest breaks....
