Okay, im actually curious, how does this work? Looks like the crack propagates from the nut leading me to think it was a few too many uggaduggas of the "torque wrench"
Speedy356, mjd4277, rollin coal and 4 others Thank this. -
I don’t know, I do know that the tech who changed our wheels out for us said that he’s seen it before but only on aluminum wheels never steel, take that for what its worth
nextgentrucker and D.Tibbitt Thank this. -
That's funny, the tech.
mjd4277, blairandgretchen, D.Tibbitt and 1 other person Thank this. -
I suppose those weld spots on my steel wheels are just for the kicks of it lol.
ElmerFudpucker, D.Tibbitt and Walk Among Us Thank this. -
Same concept. And i had more then 1 rim crack on me before i got my torque wrench and just did it myself. -
I wouldn’t trouble one’s self with why or how, as it’s all speculation. Just know you did a great job catching it and it just solidifies why one should always be checking stuff.
