Ya, same here. I hear a couple of our regular customers should be coming back online very soon so it hopefully will be back to normal soon.

I just had my worst week here at FCC. I’m not complaining as it was a Perfect Storm event kind of thing. I was off for the holiday weekend with friends in Lincoln. Then took a sick day on Monday which totally contributed to this “Off week” as it made a normal out/back/out option to get me back to SC for Monday/Tuesday off for court and lawyers. (Separation/Divorce is now into the Official Legal Phase. So I could NOT be late for that. (Better home a day early than a day late, especially this week)

So I’m out east two days earlier than needed. Today I drove one hour to DnH so actually three extra days off.

So extra personal day on Monday and two days off became five days off. Can’t do many miles on a week like that. But didn’t have any flexibility to give on this one.

They did try to find a couple short broker loads in the area to keep me rolling but with the weekend here, that’s a hard bill to fill.

Next week will be short too not coming out until Wednesday.

    stay safe

I honestly think, if places put a "No Parking" sign on the roof, some of this industry's finest would find a way up there

LOL … just had to laugh… normally being “home” 5 days instead of 2 would not be the worst thing… unless one is going through a separation and now coming divorce and don’t know anyone else in the area… LOL

So I’m camping out at the Petro in Columbia SC before heading east at some point this weekend. Got here early enough that there were lots of free spots available and they have a QuakerSteak with a bar here so if anyone is driving through, hit me up.

You probably know about this, but the US Navy had a base in Cambodia. Let it get run down so the Chinese Navy moved in and modernized it.
    ~
Ream Naval Base is a facility operated by the Royal Cambodian Navy on the coast of the Gulf of Thailand in the province of Sihanoukville, Cambodia. The base, which covers approximately 190 acres, is located on a peninsula just southeast of the provincial capital, Krong Preah Sihanouk. In 2010 the base has been the site of some joint Cambodian-United States training and naval exercises under the Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) program. In September 2020, one of two US-funded buildings on the base was demolished, and expansions were being constructed by Chinese state-owned enterprises. Western officials fear that they can be used to support a People's Liberation Army Navy presence.

I was going to leave bright and early tomorrow morning but there's really no need to. My next load after I drop at the Walmart in Cleburne, TX is out of the Quaker facility by Lancaster but it won't be ready until Sunday morning apparently. So I'll drop this whenever I get there tomorrow and then swing over to the yard for the night. Not the most ideal but it's better than just sitting
