I am getting the same vibe from this guy I got from the Princess. Today was delivery day and 2 hours before I was told to drop, I had to prompt him to find out what they were doing with me. So it sounds like an "out of the frying pan into the fire" senerio for me.

...at the expense of a whole lot of hair pulling, teeth grinding, and overall stressful situations that shouldn't be

I read your SPD adventures. And even they didn't pull half the bs that Crete does. I know which one I'd rather drive for

At first, yes, it was better. But when they cut my pay, then miles went flat and the removal of the use of PC(not to mention the 'partnership' with Wylie) it became a much less desirable place to work than here.

If you only live ... 10 miles from a Walmart DC...maybe driving for Walmart..might be something to think about

I’ve got to be brutally honest, but one for my observation. It’s like if something doesn’t transpire the way you want it immediately. You literally go crazy over some of the stuff that really is irrelevant From what I could see… And it seems to be no matter where you work at the same exact issues transpire… do you even reject any of these loads? or do you just accept every single thing they send you regardless if It’s productive or not ? I don’t reject loads that often, but I will on occasion when it’s appropriate to do so and the next load is always more reasonable… Maybe you need to start rejecting loads if you’re not rejecting some of these unproductive loads

I have rejected more since coming back in March than in the entire time I was here the last time. Sometimes I got something better, other times I got crickets and sat a day only to be offered the same crap load. Last week, right before Mike sent out that message about being assigned to Cory, I rejected back to back to back loads that amounted to a whopping 650 miles in 3 days, and their response was them telling me that it was the best they were gonna offer me (not that there wasn't anything better, just that they weren't gonna offer me anything better). I called their bluff and said get me home asap and I would be in contact with my FM about getting me out of this division because I could no longer deal with this kind of penny ante crap loads as an OTR driver for Shaffer. I then messaged Deland and insisted that I be allowed to move away from this division of the company and if that wasn't allowed to let me know so I can seek employment elsewhere. I haven't heard from her since, so once I am home, a phone call will be made, and a decision about my future will follow. I didn't come back to this company to gross $80k/yr, and that's about what my 12 month gross pay will be (perhaps slightly higher, but not by much). And I won't hesitate to inform our VP of why they're losing a driver with this much experience, and what I think of his operations department, along with how I feel about them claiming that we're 'their most valuable asset' is just lip service, and that they couldn't care any less about us as long as they're profitable.

I don’t know how long you’ve followed his threads but he’s been like this with every job he’s had. And he’s worked for dozens of different mega’s.
