The other issue is it seems like every single company he goes to no matter what type of freight the company hauls he has the exact same issues… And you know it gets to a point where at some point you have to kinda look at where the problem lies… When you go to as many companies as he has been to and seems to end up with the same exact problem…

If you always do what you’ve always done, you get what you’ve always got

Except, did you hear me make one complaint about Moore before Daseke merged us with Wylie? Likewise with SPD before Daseke partnered us with them which then led to the whole downward spiral with W-TFI.

actually my biggest complaint the 1st 2 times were alot along the lines of equipment issues causing problems which made it tough to stay running. Yes, they are still the masters of nannying and micromanagement, but those are somewhat easier to stomach when you're running and making decent money. This time, my truck seems to be doing o.k., just the miles aren't what they were in round 2.

Which why I have no sympathy. He’s getting what he deserves for refusing to make changes and instead blaming a leopard for not changing his spots to accommodate him

But you have to look at it this way… everything starts off good with every company been to and then within six months generally goes downhill… I could see that you know happening with a company here or there, but not every single darn company… That’s the point I’m making and a lot of people see the same thing… You tend to worry about stuff that is so irrelevant that it drives you insane

An excellent observation. Like other responses that have been spot on. Some people are miserable, some are constant complainers......
@MACK E-6 should update the title to this thread from Snackbar is chillin' at Shaffer to Snackbar is WHININ' at Shaffer.

Stuff that is irrelevant? Yeah, I guess being concerned about making a decent enough of a paycheck most weeks to support my wife is just trivial ########...what was I thinking...I guess I'll just shut up now and be happy.

You’re all over the map..now it’s not making enough money then it’s short to medium runs are boring, then it was avg miles a day..which is it…you stated you wanted 2500-2800mi over a 7 day period which avgs out to 378mi a day in 7 day period…but you complain about that..you see where i am observant..you’re all over the map.. maybe that could be why ops isn’t consistent because of that..

But you want more than that. You want great pay and benefits, a gazillion miles per week, no micromanaging and the list goes on and on. No company will have it all. There is this thing called compromise and accept what one cannot change.

With all the different companies ... SSB has worked for and then left...there has to be a common thread...which is the same at each place..that maybe he doesn't see and realize ?
