Probably don’t stand a chance of getting it, but applied to Toyota here in Portland to haul cars. Local work, day cabs. They claim $125-145k a year is possible. Looks like hourly, plus money per vehicle loaded, and unloaded.

From what I have heard that is a great place to work for. Hourly would be a good gig as a company driver. I hope you get it.

We’ll see. Idk how competitive the job market is for car haulers around here.

I am guessing they are more concerned with driving experience. They would probably prefer someone with no carhaul experience so they can train you to haul them the Toyota way. I bet you have a good shot. With it being hourly there won’t be any reason to rush anything until you are very good at what you do.

I mean , let's face it, most guys hauling cars don't have any carhaul experience. They might think they do, but we all know better!

Im starting to get the itch to get back out there again.
Anybody decent hiring that would have longer runs ?
Haven't touched a car since I left Fine Line a while back.

I know couple guys at Accelerated that are happy and run longer stuff, but I stay in my hood too much to have any idea first-hand

That Russian company with the green trucks run literally coast to coast. If you aren't a Euro they won't give you the time of day it seems. Good friend of mine said stay away elogs mean nothing over there. They will run you to death.

I haul freight occasionally for them that they broker and it is a very good experience with compensation and the people I deal with. If they ran out and loaded back towards a domiciled terminal they would be on my reserve list incase my sweet deal ever changed. From what I understand you have to run the system and 2-3 weeks out is standard. 3 days out is about all I can handle most of the time.

Tall Mike and brian991219 Thank this.
