That right there says a lot about this company and why I try not to complain too much about some of these less than desirable Broker loads. And on a Quarterly, the miles are still there even if I had a few more Live Loads or Unloads.

I’ve been kind of thinking about volunteering to slow my truck down a bit.

Some for personal reasons (drive more chill n relaxed) but also in a “give back” mindset.

If they are losing money on some of these loads, while still trying to keep me whole, maybe slowing down a bit to “stretch out” our good more desirable freight and to save them actually losing money on maybe one less broker load to find a month.

Plus they get better MPG from my truck to help offset the losses that they are occasionally taking to keep us whole.

The Market will turn, eventually, and then we can all start to enjoy the gravy once again.

    until then, stay safe

    Knucklehead and runningman0661 Thank this.

We have those in my line of work.

    “I don’t do residentials”.

    “I don’t do liftgate deliveries.”

    “I won’t go here or there…”

Granted, there are some on my no-go list, but only because they’re dangerous to try and get into or out of with 60’ of truck.

Most of the clowns in question are too lazy to do inspections, wind the landing gear all the way up or down, and couldn’t figure out how to slide a fifth wheel if their lives depended on it.

I mostly keep to myself at this company. I'm not a particularly hard runner, and I'm not particularly fast at getting places either.

But I've never refused a load or declined to help dispatch when the need arrives. Why? Mostly because I'm a major introvert and I don't like saying no. Contrary to what it appears on the thread, I keep to myself like i said. I stay in my truck at the yard. I don't talk to anyone (except maybe Brenda at the safety window) unless someone initiates a conversation with me. I'm in my own little world most of the time. The conversations between me and dispatch mostly consist of communicating ETA's, and that's mostly over the tablet. I don't try to stand out at this company because that's not who I am. I do my part to keep the company, my wallet, and myself happy but that's about it. I don't want or need an award to leave the house, do my job, then come back home. I'm a walking example of your average Joe, just one that's a socially inept introvert

With that being said, I'll be leaving the house in an hour or so and will continue to stay in my own little world

Does FCC have driver facing cameras?

The short answer is No, but….. Most drivers inward facing cameras are off, if you have less than two years experience, are on probation (due to safety violations AKA habitual offender), and some choose to voluntarily turn them on.

    cdavis188 Thanks this.
