I read them all. I can't give advice on oil field work because I've never done that and never had an interest in it.
There's tanker companies that might hire you right now if they have any openings.

I'd wait awhile before becoming an 0/0.
I can't give good advice on that anyway because I've never been an 0/0 and never been interested in being one. I have pulled hazmat tankers 48 states and Canada though. Loved it!

    Mr. RockinChair,

I got this new job at Gateway Distribution LLC. They manufactures light and flag poles. I will be delivering their product to the customer. Most of their customers are construction sites. This company is located in Cincinnati, OH. I’m actually flying out on Monday for orientation and training. Compensation is .46 per miles, $25 unloading and $25 per stop. Avg 2500 miles per week and 15-25 stops per week. I’ll be the one calling customer to schedule time and date for delivery. Most of the deliveries will occur during daylight hours and can shutdown around 4-5pm. I can do my reset at home every week if I wanted. 1 week PTO per yr and after 3 yrs 2 weeks, paid 5 major holidays per annual calendar, basic health benefits, 401k match up to 4% vested immediately, $50 cellphone bill contribution per month and $175 steel toes shoes per year. Midwest is my areas and mostly TX which is where I lived and like. The company is small family owned and legit from papers. It sounds good on papers too. Let’s hope it’s not too good to be true. So far the people I have spoken to are super nice and responsive. Plans now is drive for a company to build up my experience hopefully for this company for a while and go to Walmart or Costco in the future. Heck if this company is good, I will stay with them for a long time. I’m done with oil field or hazmat job searching. It’s unstable and little unsafe. To be continue…

    B/R,
