Ive done it for years, its just a fact some times
Ive never been an entitled driver so I probably couldn't see it from any other view then what Ive experienced first hand.

Giving two or three hrs here and there has allowed me to "purchase" many trucks over the years.
Be very #### glad you dont drive one of mine.

Being on line 2 does not mean you are off duty. It just means you are in bed. I do lots of things in bed. I have taken 2, 8, and 10 hour breaks on line 2 at customers, and that is LEGAL...because i was sleeping! Or...otherwise in bed. Definitely slept for the 8 and 10s... I've also logged line 1 at customers, but only if it applies. For example, one time i walked to Mexico while being loaded! Really! Is that line 4?

Hell, i've had safety guys and DOT go over my logs on several occasions. Safety guy didnt say a thing, DOT guy said...It's not NB, its NE, dumb ###! Seriously.

Am i supposed to log the lot lizards on line 4 too?

Here's a question for you truckstop lawyers: One time i picked up a load, and was informed that i was getting 2 pallets at the warehouse i was at, and then I was going to drive down the street to another warehouse to get the other 22 pallets. Down the street was about 1/4 mile. Do you seriously think im going to log 15 minutes on line 4, fifteen on line 3, and then fifteen on line 4 again?

Nice. I love it when i see truckstop lawyers on this forum saying that exact same line, "you have to have a motel receipt".

As far as im concerned, line 1 is the nunya line. Im not on duty, therefore, nunya business. I have slept on line 1 in the sleeper before just to prove a point before.

I agree. It can get really ridiculous. That's why "logging as you do it, every time" is a myth. There is a difference between the spirit of the law and the law itself. If you are in the "spirit" of doing it right, but realize what is ridiculous, you will get along.

Those who are out to beat the system on a regular basis are the ones who ultimately end up losing in the end.

Logging line 2 means I'm in my truck,"NOT WORKING"
Just like logging line 1,"NOT WORKING"
I do not have to "actually" be in my sleeper to legally log line 2
    for 10/34.
Just like I can be in my sleeper,"sleeping" while logging line 1.
What I do while logging line 1 or 2 is none of DOT or anyone else's business.

Anyone stupid enough to argue such and or actually log the nonexistent division between the front seats and the back wall are mentally beyond repair

There is always that hypothetical wreck you are involved in the next day that you end up in court for. The hot shot lawyer right out of Harvard shows the court some surveillance videos from the customers of you sitting in the drivers seat when your log says you are in the bunk. He just proved you falsify your logs "on a regular basis". If I can't pull my curtains I move back 3 feet. Prop a few pillows up, swing my laptop around and I can surf the web more comfortably than from the seats. Or stretch out and watch some TV. Its not rocket science but I always CYA.

Doesn't matter. He showed that you were somewhere other than what you put down on your log thereby creating a reasonable doubt as to the accuracy of that log in other areas. CYA.

If he has a video of you sitting in the seat, You had better be on line 3 or 4. the drivers seat is a duty line by definition. I don't always agree with this but that's how it is looked at. IMHO
