I wondered if anyone has a good way to mount a mirror antenna for Sirius radio on a freightliner cascadia. I drive a company truck so I can't drill holes in the body.

can you clamp it onto the sun visor on the front of the truck? seen this done on some company 387 petes. Also I have seen some mounted onto the handles on the side and rear of the trucks. all else fails mount it to the qualcomm bracket.

Our company trucks don't have the sunvisors above the winshields. It's currently mounted on the bracket that holds my airlines but my cord is too short to make t look neat.

any chance thier is a bolt somewhere on the side that you can take out and replace with a longer one to mount it on the side or front someplace?

You can just use weatherproof tape to attach it wherever you want.

I've used this 3M Outdoor doublesided tape on a few things with pretty good results. However, they were all somewhat sheltered from the weather and only occasionally got wet, so I don't know how well it holds up to full weather exposure.

On a Freighliner I used to drive, I just wrapped tape around the antenna and a spot on the top of the mirror, and have the same idea used on the rollbar of my Jeep. Still get a good signal, even through the tape.

above the passenger door on the outside should be two bolts. you can mount it there using 1 bolt, then run the wire through the window. Thats what I did on my cascadia and it works fine. If there is one of those usesless little mirrors there, you have to remove it.

That little mirror is not useless. It will keep you from hitting the curb with your front right tire (the only tire u can't see without these mirror) Plus it also serves as a blind spot mirror............

I agree with you on the mirror. They work if you use them and adjust them.

    Germanudo Thanks this.

This is the mount I use on my Cascadia. It's made to used in conjunction with your lookdown / spot mirror if you have one.

It's mounted on the passenger side door right where the others said the 2 mounting screws are located.

The factory screws are long enough to accommodate both the mount and the mirror together.
