I agree with you, Gotta start somewhere and if you have 2 years you should be doing pretty good and have options now.

Sigh. APU broke. Am in CA. One good thing about this company. If your a company driver, and your APU breaks down, they will put you up in a motel. Course, you gotta find a trk stop that has motels close by, or motels with trk parking, and it does help, to be in a town that has a motel when the APU breaks down.

Was in Blythe, CA and am now in Vado, NM. APU seems to be working ok now. Guess it was just the 110 degree heat that it didn't like. Buy Hey....it was a dry heat, eh.

I'm not to far from there. Stationed just north of Palm springs and go out to blythe all the time to go to the river out there and go out on a buddies boat. Yeah the 110* temp is not good for anything.

Well I'm in a motel now. APu has quit again and trk has to go to the KW shop in the AM. Needless to say, lost the nice run I had going. Could have had 3 really nice runs on 1 check. Oh well.

My guess you were at the J in Blythe right by the 10,000 movies place.

Whats wrong with the truck besides the APU?

Didn't know there was a J there. Stayed at some off the wall place just b4 there that had to trk stops and Con way place.
When you pop the tractor valve, tlr is supposed to pop with it and it doesn't and when you pump the brakes down to check for the low air buzzer and for the valves to pop out, neither valve does. Thought about waiting till home time, but thats still 21 days away and it would just be my luck to get DOT'd before then.

I drove for TransAm for about 18 months, they were a great company for the most part. I had an excellant trainer. I ran out of the Battleboro, NC Terminal. I got great miles and got good hometime. I regret ever leaving that company. I did run ALOT of NYC, at first it was difficult but got used to running the 5 boroughs of NYC. I had an excellant experience w/ TA. I wasnt not thrilled w/the Eaton Vorad systems on the trucks but got used to them. I quit b/c they would not fix the a/c on the truck during the summer. They tried but never actually fixed it. They were running me at night alot and i was trying to sleep during the day while it was nearly 90 degrees and that just wasnot working. Overall, was a pretty good experience!

WOW! they cut the trucks down to 62 mph. When I was with them they would go 68 mph.
