Az Cats, That sounds AWESOME!!, I had to postpone my arrival in Springmo till the next week, My baby boy arrived this morning and with a few complications with my wife they both are doing well now, I will get over a week with him and them before I have to go, I'm so much looking forward to this, Did they tell you how long you would be as a seat "C"? I'm just trying to figure out how long I'm going to need to be out till I get a little home time for the first time, I would like to graduate to my own truck before I came home. I guess we will see. Thanks. TD.:biggrin_2559:

I was with an instructor for about 10K miles or about 4 weeks. I got to go home for 2 days which was christmas eve and day. Then your a Bseat with a trainer for a while. I did 93K miles with mine just because we got along great and the extra experience never hurts. All in all it was about 4 months total before I was in the seat of my own company truck.

I am thinking about coming back to Prime myself. One of my good friends is with CRE and put in his 2 week about 3 days ago. He already is pre hired at Prime for the 15th and since he has time already driving he will be able to become a trainer after 60 days. Him and I might just end up teaming together with his truck he is going to lease. It sounds like a great deal and I know from my prior exp with Prime that the miles are there and the money is good. He is very very excited to get out of CRE and into Prime because the money is way better and I know Prime does not jack you around like CRE. He has some real horror stories. Now I know Prime runs those electronic logs but running a team you have no reason to not like them.

Anybody on here know how it works with the whole one person has a lease truck but he runs a team? Does he pay me or does prime pay me or what are the details with it. Any info would be great. Thanks guys and be safe out there.

You're still going to do 80k miles before you are fully A-seat qualified, and the break for the ACE-1 upgrade is at 60k miles. ACE-1 is a pause in the training program that is a good place to take some home time without overly prolonging the process, especially if you're going to jump out of the training truck and into your own.

If you were to average 5k miles per week with your trainer, you're looking at 12 weeks plus orientation before you go back to Springfield or Pittston.

What are Prime's rules on driving in inclement weather, ie are you required to use chains or do you park and wait it out
