I just received a tentative offer from Wel. I have a few questions. They stated two weeks out and one day off. Can you ask for at least two days off? Or possibley three? Or is that a rule they don't break. Also I live in Utah. Do any of the drivers get through here often? Benefits... do they have medical, dental, vision? And how much is it a month? I would appreciate any information. Thanks guys and stay safe.

WEL I just fininshed orientation, Yes to dental and vission and health all or nothing, it is a complete package. So far great company. If you want to do me a great kindness say Daniel Palo refered you
. 1 week out 1 day off. All reefer no endorsements needed, if you stay out 4 weeks you can have 4 days off. to the best of my knowledge. If you make it threw orientation pass physical and drug screen you get paid orientation wages of $187 paper check mailed home, training pay for student graduates is differant the mileage 6 weeks of training is student grad i have to run WEL waiting. All in all so far great.

Okay, let me know how you like them as the days go by give me an update. It seems they're small enough I guess you don't see many posts on here. I guess that could be a good thing. No bad news. Most the posts I have found looked pretty good. I can't wait to get started, but, I have to finish the schooling first.

I've got another question. Does WEL pay perdiem or actual mileage? Do you have a choice? Can you turn down perdiem?
-
Per diem, It seems to be a great company so far, Trainers are truck drivers not the best trainers but not the worst
-
Thanks Nadolap, keep me posted on you progress and how you like the company.
-
nadolap how are things going for you?
-
WEL things went bad, my trainer was horrible but I kept my mouth shut the best I could, I ran out of GOUT meds had a gout flare up had to goto emergency room so they decided not to conti9nue the training. I still feel great company for experianced drivers students not so much I only heard good things about 1 trainer.
I learned alot though coast to coast 3 times in 4 weeks. Jake brake is awesome I am going for my hazmat doubles and triples and tanker endos next week -
Sorry to hear that. Good Luck to you.
