i just have a big issue with NY goes thru the effort of putting up road signs in french to help out the french but heaven forbid they put any effort into putting up ANY english signs so the rest of the freaking continent can figure out how to get around. And its not so much going from point A to point B. Its when you guys put up road blocks and detours and dont label how to get back to the interstates that I have a BIG issue with. It took me an hour to figure out how to get from GE back to the US when you had 2 main on ramps closed for whatever interstate that is.
stupidest thing u have done or seen a rookie do?

well...as a rookie in 2001 i was backing in the bosses decked out chromed out Kenworth W9 into the shop. What i failed to do was check to see of the garage doors were all the way up. YUP...i wrecked the door and bent the beautiful shiny twin stacks forward.
Then, another day with same boss (fired me after this one) i was backing into a tight spot from the road and decided to jump the curb (low curb) but failed to realize the rains caused the grass and soil to be soft. As i hopped the curb my the wheels sank deep which punctured the fuel tanks the size of a softball...ALL my fuel (just filled up) poured into the street. Hazmat, Fire crew, police and the local paper came out to enjoy my mistake. Pic taken and wicked high fines. Yup..i was fired. -

Well, considering that I am in training, and got behind the wheel of a truck for the first time about a week and a half ago, I would say that the dumbest thing I have done yet is to float three gears in a row with my instructor sitting next to me. *facepalm* Apparently, double-clutching is what we had been learning, and they didn't want to see anything else until after I was gone.

I saw a swiftie going as fast as the truck would go in Montana on I-90 between the 16 and 22 yard stick, it didnt end well.

The stupidest thing I saw was while I was in training, and it wasn't me that did it, it was my trainer. He forgot to set the brakes before we got out of the truck (he had been driving, I had been snoozing). I was the one that got the truck door unlocked and the brakes set before he could even decide what to do.
This is one of the reasons I don't think anyone should train unless they have at least 2 years experience . . .not the six months this bone head had. -
The Challenger and REDD Thank this.

The second trainer I had was much better, and even taught me the pleasures of blasting the air horn while going past golf courses and driving ranges! The Challenger and dodge24v Thank this. -
