Everyone always says, check the small mom and pop companies. But, where on earth do I find them. I live in Huntsville, AL., can anyone give me a list of a few?

Try your local phone books under trucking companies and similar headings. There are some near where we live that I had never heard of.

Again, I will say... check craigslist in your area under transport. Companies looking to hire people in your area put ad's in there for drivers on a daily basis. If your community is small then set your search for the nearest large metro area. You may spend a week looking or even a month before you find just what you are looking for but I have found my last two jobs on that site and I have found many potential jobs that I could have applied for.

Enigma78 have you called Prime? Their web site says 7 years from the time your sentence was completed. Just a thought.

I tried to hire on to over 500 companies over a 6 month period following a layoff from a smaller oregon based company(they did not know about my past) and I have 3 felonies and 3 misdemeanours. 1 felony in 1976 was delivery marajuana.. less than 1/4 oz ...1 misdemeanour in 2005 was delivery marajuana less than 1/4 oz no one would touch me..including Arrow and Knight..don't believe everything that is posted by some..check it out for youself, then you will know. THE RULES HAVE CHANGED!! now days almost everyone does background checks of some kind, and DAC has gotten 'REAL HI-TECH' in it's background investigations too.
    GOOD LUCK...

Noted, I have four app. replies I am still waiting on. Boyd Bros. (told me to call this Monday at noon); Prime; WEL; and BTC. I am praying that Boyd Bros. will give me a chance. I have hope and faith that God will provide, he has worked it out that I was able to get my CDL. He also provided a way for me to do it without paying for it and for me to get there when I had no way. I will keep you guys posted on what God cooks up for me. If there are any Prayer Warriors checking this post, I'd love to have your support. For we all know that when prayer goes UP, blessings come DOWN.
