May is way high on my Short List. I talked to Leona. I sent in my app, sent over everything else that was asked for and am now just waiting. I have not heard "Boo" from her since and it is making me a little nervouse. I'll call her tomorrow.
In the meantime I have heard "Boo" from Watkins-Shepard and they are processing my application like they want to have me around. Roxy is calling every phone number I put on the app.
Also, Schneider is running my application and contacting my employers. They are offering something really good.
May is still at the top mainly for their training program and their pay. The idea that I may get a 379 or 387 to drive is kinda cool. I only really care about a truck that runs more than what type t is.
I hope to be somewhere for Orientation very soon. It's time to get back to work.
Starting out for rookies

I am in the Dallas / Fort worth texas area if anyone knows of any jobs that will hire someone with no experience I'd really appreciate any info about it.
My main issue with the same companies as Capt listed is even if you already have the CDL they still want you to do the 8+ week training, and a year contract and ect. That year contract is the main thing that keeps me away. I really don't want to do be in that situation unless absolutely necessary.
If I could just get 3 months experience with ANY driving job then I could get my foot in the door with several companies then after 6 months to a year I'd be fine with most of them. -
I quit a job to attend truck driving school and now I find out that Michigan is considered a dead state. It's hard as hell to find anyone wanting to hire someone from MI (luckily I live below 96) because they all want 3-6 months experience. As a result of me switching careers, I have a 2 month hole in my employment and US Xpress said they wouldn't hire me because of my work history.
It's discouraging. -

Unfortunately, I am still rather new here and I am unable to PM you to obtain the info that you have offered. I am at the end of my rope and ready to give up my fight to find a company that will give me an opportunity to get started on this path. If you could PM me with the info, I would be most appreciative.
Many thanks!!
