The recruiter I've been working with is Travis. I'll see what he has to say tomorrow.

There is biometric data that you have to provide to be coded into the IDs memory at the time you pick it up. That can't be done via mail, but they will hold the card for you. We get routed through St. Louis all the time, so its not a big deal to drop the trailer at the drop yard in E. St. Louis and bobtail up to the Granite City location. For a pickup, you don't need an appointment... they will honor a walk-in. Just make sure you are there well before 4:00 PM.

Just talked to Travis about my Meds. I will have to stop one medication but no problem. Should have no other issues. Still on schedule to go to CDL school on 10/21/2010.

He verified that I should get my CDL permit in Louisiana before attending school. After I finish the instructor phase and get my CDL I will be assigned a trainer. Our first run will be to my home to get the CDL switched to LA CDL.

Ka....i was told the same thing with the exception of the permit. She don't waste my money on getting one in Mass when I can get one there for free. Kinda makes sence.

Anyone know what the $150 is for?

Its for your DOT physical and your permit.

I think the 150 is to cover the physical and the CDL. The CDL isn't what I would consider free. It's part of the whole package. They don't mention that the TWIC costs 135.00.

I got my TWIC here, and my DOT physical cost me only 20.00 because my insurance covered rest of the cost. I guess each state has different requirements about changing an out of state CDL to your home state. Anyway the DOT physical is required before you take the written test.

You should ask your recruiter. I know that the Prime physical is required no matter if you have a DOT certificate or not. They do the wellness test and drug testing as well.
