Congrats Wiseguy !! You've been through a lot and come out a winner. I have been catching up on your post and it's impressive in detail and attitude you have kept. Can't wait to hear more in the future.

Congrats! I am a little jealous though... I'm at home now having completed the securement training and extra time with a trainer after... But I've been on 2 van loads. One to get me across Wisconsin to PA and the other from Pa to NY back to Erie. I squeezed in last night. Now I'm home, but have to go back to the truck tonight since I'm under load and they could not get a relay there till today. Don't like that, but at least I'm home.

I know what you mean about the being on top of some of the loads. I'll see how it goes. I'd like to stay flatbedding since they are what I signed up for. Hope they get me some flat loads so I can move on out of evo 3... seems I've spent more time at marshfield or gary than I have running loads... between training and truck issues... This truck doesn't like hills at all... It also doesn't like starting up. Runs rough and quits... anything I can do to help that? I almost have to step on the throttle when I start it to keep it sputtering then it cleans out and is fine. Only after it sits for more than 3 hours does it start rough. IDK?

Toss some injector cleaner in it, make sure its diesel safe tho of course. Might help it some. The new truck I have now is gonna take some getting used to as well, its a bit of a dog compared to the van truck I had before.

Thanks to everyone that gave me congrats. Its definitely a step that I'm happy about. Its been a long road, but it has been worth it.

Now, I just hope that I can still keep moving this weekend. Looks like I'm head toward Gary today....

Spent a few hours at Gary today before finishing out a load in Sturvevant, WI. Hope I don't get stranded up here for the next two days. Saw three Roehl drivers bobtrailing back toward what I assume was Gary with what looked like new rigs. Perhaps dispersing some of them "new" '07 Freightshakers.

Huh, I probably passed you then. I was bobtailing as well in an '07 Freightliner condo, not quite "new" tho.

So, today was interesting. They had me grab a empty trailer just south of Green Bay then bring it back up to Green Bay. Then, they had me bobtail the whole way to Gary from Green Bay. I have NO idea why, but thats what they did. Hopefully its for something actually useful. Which the only reason I can think of for having me bobtail the whole way down here is if they have a bunch of freight moving from this area soon. There are so many trucks sitting here right now its nuts. Hopefully if I sit here for the rest of the weekend they give me something headed to MN since I'm due home Wed.

Typical "plan your work work you plan"? lol
Sounds like an interesting ride. At least its paid miles!
I had to go back up to the T/S last night to relay my load that brought me home. I thought when I picked up the load that I would relay Friday, but no! Surprise the next driver won't be there till Saturday evening. Well, that ended up 1900. Luckily I was back home and the driver was in no hurry to grab it. He was a o/o and was getting two used tires because of some issues with his. Nice guy, would've liked to pick his brain on some o/o things with Roehl. Maybe someday I will venture that way. Like having the illusion of control...:biggrin_25525:I know who is really in control... lol

Sounds like it could be a leaky injector?

Hindsy is it eating any oil? Could be turbo oil seals/turbo if it doesnt get up to speed well.
