No you still fail to see that John Q Public really don't want to see spending cut. When you can show that fixing roads/bridges is a useless expenditure I will understand your point. You are whats wrong with this country: I want it fixed but, don't expect me to pay for it.

I want the bridge fixed, and that's all I want done.

I don't want my taxes going to all the stupid programs government has told

people they have a right to have provided to them on the backs of

taxpayers such as myself.

Need health care? pay for it yourself.

Need a job? Train yourself.

Need a place to live? Live in a ####-hole until you can afford something else.

Bought too much house? Too bad, you deserve to lose your ###, maybe

I need help!!!!! I just fell out of the seat. I agree with THIS post except for the Health care. I think Health care will work if done right. However doing it right will not happen because too many stakeholders have a say in how to do it.

I think I'd end up paying in my state and you won't follow thru. Then my taxes would go to support you and your bridges.

You're right I don't want to pay higher taxes because the wrong people are in charge of that money.

When we get someone in office who treats the money as if it's their own, I might change my mind.

I'm sick and tired of my tax dollars going toward waste and fraud and I'm not alone in this. The state of CA is broke because of stupid people who are in charge of that money. Why should I have to pay for someone's health care who isn't even here legally? Why do they get to go to our schools when the vast majority of illegals don't pay property taxes? How is it that an illegal could qualify to buy a house? Fraud, fraud and more fraud. This is why the state is broke, because our elected officials turned a blind eye to a problem that wouldn't go away. Why are sanctuary cities getting federal funding? Aren't they violating immigration laws? Isn't this criminal? Why aren't they held accountable? I'm tired of being surrounded by idiots who vote for idiots. Idiots:

A case in point: On US 50 east of Sacramento proper, they are building a new pedestrian over-crossing right next to the old one. I kid you not. Why are they doing this if the state is broke? It makes absolutely no sense to me or anyone I know who knows about this. But this is the kind of thing I'm fuming about. This was unnecessary.

Diamond lanes are a complete waste of money, so few can really use them. Doesn't everyone's tax dollars go toward paying for this lane? If so, why can't all utilize it? One reason being in order to get federal funding, they have to do what big brother says. Big brother says we need to force people to carpool to work, so if you don't want a diamond lane, we won't give you the money. Having a diamond lane does nothing for the bottleneck problems during rush hour. If they cared at all about the traffic flowing, they would do away with those stupid diamond lanes, open it up for all traffic and make it less congested during these times. Having the traffic flowing and not standing still idling, it could only improve the air quality (you would think that the tree-huggers would be in favor of this). But, no, they can't do that, it would make too much sense. Plus they like to tell you and I what they think is good for us, when in reality they have not a clue.

I bet all those Prius owners are miffed since they've been taken off the "special list" of those who can take advantage of the diamond lane as of December 31. I guess they just weren't "green" enough. LOL

 

Your a prime example of what I was getting at: If I can't have it MY way I don't want to pay for it. Get over yourself.
