Oregon Biology Teacher Fired Over Bible References

    SISTERS, Ore. — During his eight days as a part-time high school biology teacher, Kris Helpinstine included Biblical references in material he provided to students and gave a PowerPoint presentation that made links between evolution, Nazi Germany and Planned Parenthood.

    That was enough for the Sisters School Board, which fired the teacher Monday night for deviating from the curriculum on the theory of evolution.
    "I think his performance was not just a little bit over the line," board member Jeff Smith said. "It was a severe contradiction of what we trust teachers to do in our classrooms."

    what the heck is wrong with this country you can teach evolution but as soom as you talk about creationism you would think you was the DEVIL in the flesh.

    get a rope hang him he is poisioning our children.

    Its funny you make prime time news if you talk about god and someone doesnt believe it. but they can talk about evolution and not believe it and you just have to sit there and listen

    OH I FORGOT EVOLUTION ISNT A RELIGION (YA RIGHT)

    meanwhile we have a "transgender"(mentally ill) teacher in the Batavia City School District(in NY state), who is able to teach children earth science...

    The teacher has been at the school for years, and recently returned to school dressed as a woman. Students and parents have been unable to transfer out of the class, because it is a mandated class for freshmen in high school.

    I dont know first hand, but have heard, that several students have been disciplined and sent to diversity classes for comments made about or to the teacher....

    Another note, a teacher is allowed to dress as the opposite sex, but teachers are prohibited from wearing religious symbols in a visible manner....

    This country is messed up beyond comprehension...
