Just to spark a little conversation...
Does anyone have any favorite truck crock pot recipes they'd like to share? :)

I've been looking at a little crock in Wally World ($14.95) and trying to figure out how to scale down some recipes to fit it.

I use to have one of those 2 qt ones, I recently bought a 4 qt(it's only a 190watt, that way it works with the company's approved plug in inverter policy, but check the 4 qt's UL listing on the bottom to see what wattage it is, there were many there that were higher wattage than a plug-in could handle safely)

I cook almost anything...I make meatloaf(with the mix you buy in the seasoning isle - it has the recipe on the back), boneless chicken breast, with baby carrots and red skin potatoes...I even buy a good cut of beef and cut it into strips, mix it with green peppers and onions. Once the meat is cooked, I pour a can of cream-of-mushroom soup and a couple handfulls of egg noodles and mix it back and forth to cover the noodles with the soup and beef juice(I use plastic crock pot liners so it makes mixing and cleanup easier)
I get most of my recipes from either my wife, or off the internet - just google crock pot recipes...thousands will come up...from soup to nuts.

Geeeez, what has trucking come to? We're swapping recipes, what's next...beauty tips???? First you wash and rinse your hair, then apply......:biggrin_2559:

Did anyone else get a message Monday the 20th(or Tuesday the 21st) about the fuel surcharge?(company drivers I mean, I know the O/O's probably do) I just wondered...I thought maybe someone was giving me a hint about doing something...like buy a truck!?!?!?!

I was also wondering if anyone else is curious as to how these new 'winged' trailers are going to do in snow? I mean, you see how the landing gear collects slop, and they're metal, I just wonder how many of these fiberglass mounted fairings are going to last if we have a snowy winter like last year, and how much weight that'll add to our already heavy equipment...plus, you can kick the slop and snow off the landing gear, but you can't exactly reach the underside of the fairings... Or am I thinking too much again....I know, I know...they don't pay us for thinking....in fact, I know it takes me out of the 'Driver of the Year' running just admitting to thinking...but I can't help myself.(I use to talk to myself, but I had to quit, I couldn't stand losing an argument...um....to myself)

I loaded at a customer this afternoon along with a company driver. During our bull session he mentioned he also got the FSC message and stated that Crete was actively trying to recruite him to become an o/o. Well, I know it makes for a good "make myself feel good" story, but the truth is...it was just a mistake. Sorry guys. :biggrin_25522:
