I'm in happy shock on the posts I just read. I'm more astonished that a driver are quitting this company in this economy. Johnboy hits the nail on the door every time when he posts. While it may not be what everyone wants to hear, its the truth. I am happy to see TEAM going on. Keep up the good work and posts Johnboy.

I got my dispatch while at the motel this morning, I have a pick up at one of our customers in Bethlehem, PA. going to Kent Washington for Monday with an open delivery window. Actually Gary got the phone call from Louie while I was in my truck setting up house. I got back into my room and saw a missed call from Louie so I called over to Gary's room and asked him if Louie called him, he said yes, that we both were headed to Kent for Monday. I then went back out to my truck and saw my load info on my Peoplenet. Our reset is up at 10pm and we need to go back to the terminal in the morning to get our trailers then head out. This will be a tight run with little time for horse play, which is how I like it. Louie told us that we will both be loading in Yakima going back to Pottsville.
What a day today. We both headed over to the terminal and Gary got his laundry and we went in my truck to this laundromat he's been to before in Scranton. Boy what a trip. After getting lost and constantly turning on streets that said no trucks and low weight limits we find this joint. Nothing is easy in my life. We did our laundry then went back to the yard so I could pick up my Oregon permit and put chains in my truck. After that we went to a Wal-Mart a few miles away to restock our fridges and pantries. The only problem with that is we decided to take local streets instead of the highway and had the same problems with "no trucks" and "5 ton weight limits". What a day, when we got back we both were wiped out.
We both did our shopping and both of us bought a microwave now that we have APU's. I set mine up, fired up the APU and heated up a meal from home. This will be the best $45 I ever spent. I now am able to use my toaster, make my coffee and heat my food. Very convenient, but it doesn't replace what I have waiting for me back in Florida! Talk soon all. -

trucker4life05, be sure and keep checking with Mort. I am at the end of my first week with Calex and I can say that everything johnboy and everyone else has said about this company is absolutly true. The people do seem to care about you they make a effort to lean your name, nnot just your truck number including the owner. I too am at the motel just down from terminal I returned their today for some small issues on my truck and my 34 hour reset. Louie said it would be Monday before I had a load to go so Mort said I'll take you to motel for weekend on company dime . My truck has some miles on it 634,966 win I got it but I have to tell you this company does take care of their stuff,if you ask them to. I could not belive how smooth and tight this truck is for those miles. so far it has been a great experince iam sur it will continue.
