    You and blackw900!!
Its on my list!!! really!! ...maybe during winter. Once I figure out a way to get the thing off, I will take it in and just have it done once and for all!

Working on removing the rust on the driver stack. Dam clamp rotted and rained rust down. 0000 steel wool and Blue Magic are working perfect.

I say this tongue in cheek....Don't you have to actually operate to be an owner operator?

If you could get a polyurethane based paint to match it, you could use a foam roller and do it in place. That is how I used to paint my boat. No bubbles....always looked great.

Heck, sounds like Hanadarko has more of a business plan than 90% of the guys that try to start out as O/O. Heck, the simple fact that he will know his truck backwards and forwards, and will be basically debt free when he starts means he has a good change of success IMO!!
Good Luck!! The hard work should pay off quickly IMO, heck, you will get to keep the $800+ a month most guys pay to the lease company or 10% loan at the bank!! That means you break-even CPM, even considering the $$ you have tied up will be a bit lower than many!!
These days if an O/O survives and thrives, I think it is cause tricks and techniques like doing you own maintenance (when you can), and have no interest payments will level the playing field enough to compete with "the big-boys", and still make a decent living.
If your basic business plan when operating is as good as your pre-launch plan, I think you should do fine....heck, it is better to think stuff through, and plan, than to just hope it works out, and be siphoning peoples fuel (no one would ever do this, right?) to get to the end of the month while you wait for your accounts receivables to come in from the customers!!

    uptownkid and Hanadarko Thank this.
