I wonder , does anyone knows what to expect, when going to an orientation/ physical/ agility test. I am concerned cuz I have been laid off for a year and not moving around too much, I let myself get out of shape. I'm 5-10 and 245 lbs. and 45 yrs. old { is that out of shape for truckers} I have an orientation with May trucking in Phoenix in a couple of weeks and dont want to screw it up. Any advice would be appreciated.:Courier:

walk fast around your neighborhood, then each day, walk faster till you build up a good pace. try squats, and push ups, and if at all possible, watch what you eat for the next 1.5 to 2 weeks.

You'll fit in fine. There are some drivers that are 400 lbs.

I am 230ish and am going flatbedding on Nov. 8...physically that is going to be a challenge so I think I feel "WE" can do it...And yes there are plenty of 400 pounders driving out there and they are still just fine...Good Luck...

I Like your signature frdr...I know that we could start a thread and probably babble days about truck stops and the stink during the hot summers...I prefer rest stops if I can get in early enough..truck stops just fuel and "quick" shower...

the days of those "400 pounders" will come to an end soon enough with the new DOT physical regulations, of BMI and sleep apnea.....

The agility test at crst consists of opening the hood, climbing in and out of the cab, duck-walking under the trailer from one side to the other, and climbing into the back of the trailer. You have to do each step using the three contact method.
