For you and the original poster.....

I won't go into the bottom feeder line of talk. But I will tell you HOW you are going to pay that money back.

We have what is affectionately called the "Dumb & Dumber" teams on the road today.

They are called this simply because it involves teaming 2 new hires (fresh out of the truck with their trainer) to help each other out for a few months.

    At CRST.........

You will be splitting .22 a mile (to start) while teamed with each other for up to 6 months. In other words, you will make .11 a mile for every mile the truck rolls...or is paid to roll.

Good experienced teams are averaging between 5000 and 6000 miles a week....and splitting up to .50 a mile.

So you see. Even on a great week (7000 miles?) you would only make $770.00 before taxes. More than likely you and your co-driver will average less than 5500 miles a week. About $600 a week before taxes and deductions for your training, orientation, and any other BS they may think of.

If you think you can't afford it now. Just think how broke you are going to be...after going to work for CRST.

    Karen76 and pagan22 Thank this.

It is how the jacked up companies condition you for low pay after you clear the hurdles. After all; if they treated you and paid you like you was worthwhile; down the road you might expect it again....:biggrin_2556:

I just got called back from Stevens and CR England. Stevens sounds good so far and I know two people who went to work from them from my CDL school. Have you looked into them?

I doubt I will be going with CRST as a result of having to pay them back for everything.

The bad part here is that eventually some schmuck will take the job and they'll get away with it and it'll be easier to talk the next idiot into it, and pretty soon it will become common practice...
