I have always had a lot of pride in my backing skills. I will go for the hole in the truck stop that everyone else passes up. I tend to think of backing to be where the real drivers stand out. Found this today and made me think about how much better this guy must be than the rest of us.

You'll find that as long as there is adequate space...You can fill any hole if necessary....
rocknroll nik Thanks this. -
i have seen quite a few back in where there wasnt adequate space--or at least try and wedge it in there

I'm pretty darn good; better than most. But that guy's real good. Real real good. Lots of people don't realize the difficulty that comes with having two pivot points like that.

Saddle Tramp and High Rider Thank this.

I drive a transfer dump which is similar to that setup only with a longer drawbar. I have done that before....but not that smoothly. I can navigate corners and keep it straight though. Its a trick getting in a tractor trailer setup after that (which is what I call a truck and trailer) and backing, gets to me the first time every time!

This guy is impressive as well.

Blindside backed a car transporter steering with his foot, while stretched over and looking out the passenger window.
