Now i don't work for them but i help a local towing co. that has a contract with PGT and we do alot of work for them.

There a good company from what i have heard and seen.. The do have alot of trucks. With the main locating 10 mins from me i see theres trucks everywhere.

They do alot of flat bed hauling.
They have many plans to stay close to home or go OTR.

If you take care of your dispatch person they will take care of you. I heard a few stories that the drivers started ######## alot so the dispatch #### on them.

I am looking for good news and bad news regarding PGT Trucking. I would appreciate especially any drivers who have worked for them or who are working for them to tell me anything and everything they can.

I'm 10 miles away from where there based out of. Talked to one younger guy from them while he snagged a bite to eat a wendys. No complaints from him.

I wish i had the experience to try them out.

You don't need experience at PGT, they will take students, if you have CDL school.

my current company i work for has pgt contracted to deliver their steel products to job locations. are you located in florida? if so go to dade city florida off of river road. go to the south entrance and follow the road around. you will see their trucks there. you can find out all you want there. they are located in clark western. good luck.

Has anybody run for this company? How long is their orientation/training if no previous flatbed experience? Pay good? Insurance as good as they claim? Does dispatch treat you as a number or as a person? I see on their website what kind of loads they specialize in, is this all they haul or what else have you seen?

Care to elaborate Rabbit? Lots of people (including me) are looking hard at this company but can't get anyone to share their experience with them. Who did you work for before, and why did you leave? Now that you are at (and why did you pick) PGT, do you enjoy your job?, truck?, pay?, route?. Benefits any good? Did the trainer really train you or just use you as 2nd seat? How long did you train? Where did you train? etc,etc,etc........................:dontknow:
