    My Experience with Pepsi

I have been working for Pepsi for almost a year. And all and all its not a bad place to work..
at 1st I was shocked with the about of work it takes to work in a Pepsi truck. 300-600 cases of soda out of a side loader.
Days starts at 4:30 am. Can work 14 hr days
using a hand cart up and down stares in and out of coolers all day long.

So what can you except working for Pepsi
    good free Class A traing
hard work, day to day in a different truck or routes.
Good pay I make 14.50 with overtime after 40.
lots of rules you will deal with all day long. With a lot of paper work. You also deal with cash, checks and you to = out at the end of the day and using hand helds and have printers in your truck
long days most of us start at 4:30 and can work 14hr days.with up to 25stops a day Mon-fri.
Also you can see a lot of help come and go. This can be a vary hard job.
If anyone would like to know anything about Pepsi just let me know. I will do my best

Did you start out as a loader in the warehouse or right into a driver trainee. How does their CDL training go? Just interested...
Seems here, that you need to know someone who works there just to get anyone to look at you.

i had a class B cdl for 8 years before i was hired as a driver trainee. my CDL training i was told to get my perment as i was whating for my backgrand check that tuck 3 weeks. so on day one i had my perment. then i was with a driver trainer for 4 weeks doing pretrips and just runing routes and the stops.. the day before my cdl test we spent 4 hrs on pretrip and alley dock. I passed my test.. but got some points off for not useing the cluch.. already had 8 years driveing class B 8-10 speeds.. .. whats a cluch anyhow. then the next day i was put in a class B side loader for 1 week.. then after that i was put in a class A that was it. i have ben told it is hard to get in to pepsi but.. i dont see it as that way. but some do start in the warehouse 1st as a loader then work up.. see pepsi hire within a lot even for management (bad spelling) with pepsi you can start as a warehouse monkey and work you self all the way to the top of the line. and pepsi takes pride in this. .

im looking into employment with them now. I did my app with them and they just recently sent me a email with a link to answer a bunch of questions and give them some more information. They want to hire me as a class a driver starting at 6am which dont bother me much, also said my pay will start at $21.34. Are they blowing smoke up my #$$ or what? Is it legit to start at that wage or do they want to get me in the door and then tell me otherwise?
