Oldest trucks on the road

This thread is making my old truck sound very modern.

It's an '86 359, 3406B 425. We run all 48 with it.

I love to see the oldies still out there makin $$!

 

I think the trucks you're talking about are K100s, The K108 is the one they make in Australia, IIRC.

 

I love hearing that, I've wanted one of those since I was a little kid.

 

They made one that was 80 something and the 108, trust me, I drooled and drew for hrs. over that one!

 

There are still lots of old trucks out there, the red one was in Houston last Friday. Some of you guys who are the real deal will probably recognize the name on the door. He's still running 2-3 turns a week. The blue one, I don't know the guy but I thought it was a good looking truck. I saw it down in Missouri a month or so ago.
I was running a '77 KW A model until about 6 years ago, the frame cracked right after we built the best running Cummins I ever had and my wife talked me into selling it. I drove it almost 8 years, all over the country and up into Canada. Before that I had a 1970 W-925 that I owned for 5 years before I moved up to the modern '77 model that had factory A/C and power steering along with a 60" sleeper.

 

That red A model belongs to Eddie Gantt the "Southern Shaker" and I bet that picture was taken at the exit 95 on I-65 in Indiana.

 

Its one thing to run an old truck or trailer, but Ive worked for companies that had trailers that shouldnt even be on the road. Didnt stay long though. I'm done fighting with crappy equipment.

 

I guess I'll have to take that I-65 thing back as I reread the other post about Houston, I just knew he used to run up that way and usually stopped there. Good pic's I love old trucks.
