Boudin man, you have some good suggestions about how to treat your seperation time BUT, even if you do put in for HT, well in advance, doesn't mean they will get you there. Their guaranteed HT is bogus. You will get there, most of the time... on time but not always.
You will not have a choice in who they give you as a DM but my experience has been, the Rockwall terminal has the better ones.

Sure enough, DMV guy couldn't make it to school today. Got about 43 miles out of my 50 that I drive to school and another guy headed back home saw me and chased me down to tell me. They said they would try again tomorrow. I used to like when snow got me out of school, funny how things change. haha.
-
Thank you Panhandle! I know home time is as definate as the turn of a card on a poker table. I also really hope I get a reliable DM that will get me good miles at least once or twice a week.
-
I know your bummed about not getting to test. Maybe the DMV guy will make it tomorrow. Keep your chin up and pray for good weather!
-
Finally some decent weather. Had to stay 2 hours late but it was worth it. Pre-trip and backing tests down. Road test tomorrow. Out of ten students only 4 are going otr. And 3 of those went with Werner with me being the oddball at transam.

-
What kind of info would you like?
pj77rm Thanks this. -
dune with school today its between stevens and ta how much room is in the inside of the trucks how big are the sleepers and is the ac keep going out in there trucks do the trucks have inverters in them
-
Not sure I understand your response but will answer what I think your asking. Space is tight but for 1 person its ok. All our tractors are double bunked, but don't know how our trainers can stand it.
All our trucks have Tripacs on them and espar heaters for winter. AC works pretty good unless its 100 plus degrees o0utside. All have inverters in them rated at 1500 watts. Also have fridges in them so that you can carry food.
Think Stvens have the same thing and probably have a much better training program than this outfit. Did I answer what you asked? -
