Excellent post Driver 123. I noticed you've made two posts here at The Trucker's Report, so far. So far, this is the only post of your's that I've read, but you've provided more useful information in just this post alone than some of us have provided in 100 times that many posts over the years.

Your posted information is certainly an eye opener and gives good reason for wannaBees and newBees to be giving C.R.E. a second thought. What I find amazing is how many are readin' your post, or will read it, and come to the conclusion that they can avoid such treatment because they will display a positive attitude and C.R.E.'s desired "work ethics", and "never turn down a load". So they'll take the bait, hook, line and sinker, which will take 'em straight to the bottom, where they'll be lookin' up, --- wishin' that they'd have listened to the warnings and read the writing on the walls instead of signing on the dotted line of a contract heavily weighted in the company's favor, practically guaranteeing their failure. That changes their tune from Zippity Do-Dah to WoaH Is Me. Another somebody done me wrong song sung blue, ---- with hundreds of backing vocalists -----------------

What would you do if I sang out of key
Would you stand up and walk out on me
Oh, I get by with a little help from my friends

Unfortunately, the powers that be C.R.E. are not anybody's friend.

Chew 'em up and spit 'em out.
    NexT in line!
    Step right this way -------------------------

Welcome to the forums, Driver 123.
I'm lookin' forward to readin' more posts penned by you.
    A LOT more.
    Thanx again. :salute:

Funny thing Aftershock was the posters who thought he was "cheerleading" for CRE! They read 2 lines and hit the quote button and slammed him! ROFLMAO!

To me this was a post that has red flags waving all over it with a big yellow warning sign!
The only thing he could have added was an audio clip that says WARNING ROOKIE DRIVER, WARNING!!

    AfterShock and JimDriv3r Thank this.

After reading the post by Driver123, I find myself in an unusual position here. I am just speechless. I knew they were bad, but had no idea just how bad.

And Driver123 certainly does NOT come across as "just another crybaby driver." His post shows a well thought out process that is incredibly tilted toward screwing the driver.

    Incredible, ain't it?
    But not all that unusual.
I've known many who do that, here on the internet and in person. Some claim they don't like to read, while some others say readin' puts 'em to sleep. :sleepy2::sleepy4:
I noticed one poster here mentioned that Big truck truckin' school requires 110% effort, yet either didn't read the post in question at all, or read it and misunderstood the message, --- even after other posters tried to get 'em to realize the error.
I'm not sure if they're up to speed in the correct lane yet, or not. If so, they didn't mention that they are. An "oopps, sorry 'bout that" would be nice.

The post in question wasn't misleading, and it was easy to figure out which side of the fence the author was standin' on. For even one person to miss the point of the post is hard to fathom, --- but after posting the reply, how many others picked up the ball and ran the wrong way with it as well? Obviously they counted on someone else to read it and respond so they could follow the leader lemming.

I hope they'll read highway signs correctly.
If they depend on the flatbed driver to do the sign readin', they'll be in for a rude awakening when the skateboard passes easily under the bridge with 12 feet clearance while their dry van gets wedged tight.
    :biggrin_2551:
Probably blame the incident on the skateboard driver. :biggrin_25510: :smt091
    Ya reckon.

Makes me wonder what kind of research of truckin' companies was accomplished.
Just read the first few lines of the first chapter and skim over the remainder? Then depend on someone else to comment and trust that the other person got it right? :smt017:confused4::dontknow:

    HeY!
Did I just come up with a novel idea?
An Official, Professional Reader and Explainer?
Just tell the Pro Reader what y'all need to read, and leave the readin' to them. Pro Explanation to follow.
    Charge by the word.
The Pro Reader could ride along to read the highway signs.
Paid by the mile, of course. :biggrin_25523:

Anybody remember the newsroom skit on Saturday Night Live with Roseanne Roseannadanna as a talkin' head? She'd go off on a tangent after misunderstandin' the subject, and when corrected by the anchor man, it resulted in a blank look, followed by "Never mind".
I think I understand the inspiration behind the writing of that skit.
    Who reads warning signs?
    Get real. :biggrin_25523:

Out west just now. Writing from a Loves in Santa Nella, CA.
Somehow I have allowed myself to get sucked back into this whole CRE "debate". Anyone who has read any of my posts knows I despise them like poison.
So I delivered to Walmart in Grantsville, UT and sailed by their establishment twice.
    Interesting!
I think the word may have finally jelled in the trucking community and somebody is rescuing these poor newbies.
Why I hear you say? Because the lease yard was stuffed!! I have never seen so many tractors sitting in CRE's lease yard.
On the other hand our Crete yard in Lincoln was never so deplete of tractors. been a ton of bobtails on the east side of the building for yonks. Apparently they are filling 'em.
I believe at the moment OOIDA is nailing CRE for the lease issue. I have GOT to join those people.
Quick word on Pride. Got a buddy that I started with at CRE he now works for Pride as a company driver. He has been there 7 months and is quite happy. Money sucks - 34c pm - but makes up for in in other ways and is indeed nailing miles.

howdy all. i ran with CRE from july to August of 2010 after getting my cdl in june. i was put on greyhound bus for that unbearable bus ride from pa to indiana. after 28hrs on a bus all sweaty sticky and nasty not to mention dead tired from ignorant people up shining light in my face all night on bus. CRE thought it would be a great idea to have us all fill out a pack of papers about 1 inch thick before we could even go to the disgusting motel. upon getting to class the next morning i find out that i cant use my bank card to purchase lunch so i sat all day starving because there was no place to get food(also cafeteria was not open on weekends). we were forced to go to class on the 4th of July because CRE dont know what a holiday is. had to wait for 2 weeks for my trainer to show up so i sat around for 2 weeks in that dump of a motel. while out on road i had problems with my family and had to leave which CRE didnt want to let me take leave for and to find out i was being let go because i only have possessed a license for 2 years 11 months at the time CRE requires 3 years wouldnt you think that would be on pre hire check list to check that it was clearly stated on my application. also CRE tried to "offer" or for lack of better words force you into leasing the trucks. lemme tell you I am 21 years old I don't have the know how of the buisness to run my own trucking buissness it takes time to learn how to do that. the only reason that CRE is still in buissness is because they are a religious company.
