Ok i wanna ask something...there's a company near me that im interested in getting on with...they are a flatbed company...EM WAY out of Dover Delaware...i have some exp with a flatbed...im going to work for swift and want to pull flats to get a little more...BUT by september i hope to have my own 379 pulling a flat...but if it dont work out im going to buy a dump trailer cuz thats what ive been pulling for the past yr...so my question is...when i buy my rig would it be a good idea to go ahead and get one with a wet kit already on it or just get the wet kit if the flatbed dont work out?....oh and by the way....dont try talking me out of buying the 379 model....thats not what i wanna hear and plus my mind is made up...im asking about the wet kit only...thanks

P.S. I added that cuz i know some people like to get off topic lol

Have you been shopping in your area for trucks? Do a lot of them have wet kits on them? I suggest if you buy one with a wet kit take the oil out and pull your flat and if it don't work out then put the oil back in and go dumpin.

Why buy a flatbed if you not for sure it is going to work? Will he rent to own or maybe just rent it for awhile then if it works buy it. $1200 a month is not bad for both trk/trl.

He can if he has a tank mounted on the side of the truck. By law your not required to have a headache rack on your truck but some companies require it and some customers won't load you with out one. I have always had one it has just been part of the job plus I don't like to throw everything in a box. But I know some guys that run around that thinks it is uncool to have one on a truck, o' well.

You're pretty new to this game... I'd suggest you wait awhile before you buy anything. Many predict $5.00 per gallon fuel prices just around the corner... that will put many folks out of business.

Is there enough dump work available? Construction is way down... maybe it's better in your area but there are thousands of dump operators sitting because of a lack or work...

No kiddin? I was thinking there had to be, either on the truck or the trl. Ofcourse I'm a little out of date on flatbed rules though

That requirement was changed with new securement requirements a few years ago... but I'd never run without a headache rack...
