Honestly, I have not met any of our drivers that were fresh out of school, but that is not to say they don't. Best thing to do is call the 800-869 3737 during office hrs and ask for recruiting. Someone there can tell you for sure.

yes they hire school drivers, and I'm pretty sure Morristown is closing.
I got my first load for monday, going to greencastle pa. I'm a rehire after being gone for 13 years. MAN have they ever gotten bigger since 97 when i left.
I got a 07 fliner, 63 mph this will take some getting used to.
will keep u updated on how it goes.

    Happy New Year !!!:biggrin_25522:

You must be headed to Food Lion........!
Well the plus-side of getting one of the older '07 tractors Chickenman, is that youll be one of the first to get a new tractor. At Epes, unlike most carriers, seniority doesn't matter when it comes to handing out the new trucks. If you happen to be in an older tractor, sometime before 500,000 mi you will get a new tractor (I'm sure providing you didnt total the '07, of course! haha). I know the majority of the '07's are about to be retired. Downside, depending on your point of veiw, is that once you get in that new tractor, you'll be in it until it is time to trade it. They probably told you all that in orientation, but I digress.........

Yes, Epes pretty much requires you to unless you live close to a terminal-then it is still up to you. They do'nt require you to park at a terminal if you live close, it's just a convienience. Wish I lived closer to one, I sure would-especially when my tractor is due for service! Save wasting a day at the yard during time you could be trucking!

Well I've had a really BUSY WEEK. I must say EPES has got it going on, The most i sat was 2 hr's in salsbury waiting on a load. We Drop our trailers in foodlion and get an empty.
Everything i did this week was drop&hook. The 2 hr wait was a welcome site, gave me time to catch my breath. hehe busy busy busy

I'm SO GREATFULL to be back at EPES. Dont have to worry about NOTHING.
I'm home now waiting on truck to be fixed, Fan clutch went out. Still could drive it, but it sounded like a jet plane in ur sleeper. LOL :biggrin_255:
