I remember an Ice Storm I saw in Alabama in IIRC 97 or 98 minor Fender bender by the time the Podunk PD was done with it turned into a Pile up. They came crashing itno it code 3 and smashed up 3 more cars into it. Finally the Cheif rolled up slowly he had to either have been from the North or did not want to scrath his car. I was asked if I saw what happened I went YEP your 3 officers played Bumper Cars on ICE. He went oh crap 3 cars that is all the Squads we have except for this one.

So maybe there actually IS something to be said for these plastic cars they are making now. The salt doesn't give them "body cancer" like it used to. . .

When I see threads like this, it just makes me happy that I'm sitting here on my retired fat arse, instead of sitting on it behind the wheel of a big truck!:yes2557:

My wife's truck lived up north before we moved to Alabama. It's a 96 and has terminal cancer... she loves that truck though, so we may try a fender/bumper transplant.

You should see the reaction of some of the people down here who've never seen a salt damaged vehicle... "What happened to your truck? How'd it get those holes in it?"

Yep, I'm off Exit 60 on I-75 in TN. We ended up with 8" in this area. Salt and plows are limited. They are getting the roads plowed, but they are freezing right back over.

The Yankees are laughing at us, but we can handle heat waves better than them. :)
