How much manifold pressure should a 550 Acert run? During cooler weather, it will hit 50psi under heavy load.

If you have to borrow the money to get a PDI tune its worth paying the interest on it. It will pay for itself in less than 6 months.

I think stock mine would do about 52 on a cool day. It does a tad more than that now:biggrin_25525:

That's all I've replaced on mine (06' MXS). Great motor, especially with a stage 1 PDI tune. Would not hesitate to buy another, mine is on 3.36's with a 13spd. 24.5's.

I was told that the rule of thumb was 47-50 psi for a 475hp, 50-55 psi for a 550hp and 60-65 for a 600hp mine will hit 75 psi on a brisk Canada winter day.

I have a ACERT would buy another I love it. If you get it put the PDI tune in. It is worth it at twice the price! You will need to change your driving habits a ACERT does not run like the 60 series.

Dont u think when the fan and buzzer should come on is important? The ECM controls both and on the Acert it is 217 and 228.He said his fan comes on at 235 and normally runs at 200.Sounds like his gauge is wrong to start with. Then maybe a good air to air and radiator cleaning would be a good cheapway to start. But he has'nt updated in a while so maybe it's fixed.
