I have thought of buying and rehabing some old trucks just for show purpose only. not as a Road truck. Only time they would be on the road is for a parade or something like that.

Right now there is a 1960 KW and a 1955 Van Trailer forsale on ebay. saw it last night..

I've often thought of buying and oldie and fixing it back up. Not for road use, but more for marketing (advertising my business), parades and things of that nature.

i would love to find an old diamond reo like my grand pappy had (75) and just build a nice truck out of it. a little modernization in the right spots and meticulously detailed.

I know this thread is old but out of curiosity, if you were to buy an old truck and restore it and have it just for fun and not use it for work, how would you register it? Can you get one re-registered as an RV?

An early 80s 359 would be so cool or an old pete cabover with like KH said the 3408 cranked up to 600hp and some straights. That would sound so mean!

My torsion bar suspension is much smoother than any paccar bag setup I've driven from the last 5 years. The A/C in my KW does just as well as most of them too.

I run a historical plate on my truck, even have it so it is under cdl weight cut off. That was the easiest way for me to do mine.
