When they said I had to pay for my own drug test, I should have known... in fact I did.

Have you ever found yourself ahead of a thirty year old trailer? No. Dead Serious. And with a tractor so cheap it has no highway valve, you can't really check the operation of the manual adjust brakes... One tractor I had was so old the steering wheel was worn right off of it - the foam rubber was all flaking off (you can imagine the filth and the smell). In my one month stay I refused to haul one trailer a week, on average, which meant I got to take it to a shop and wait on it - all for free...

The Evansville IN office will just let you sit if you refuse floor loads, where you are expected to toss 1,000 (ONE THOUSAND) sometimes heavy boxes off the trailer, by hand. For this you are paid $80. A lumper would charge...?

They think nothing of taking freight that requires seven stops (LTL) in the Chicago area. On one of them I was cussed out and threatened and, when I drove off rather than to go to jail up there, well, I was a BAD person... Now I have no doubt this is on a DAC sheet.

If you've been trucking more than a day, you realize taking some jobs is a BAD mistake. This is one of them.

I am wondering,no matter how BAD one needs a job,why ONE would even jump into a truck as you described, and pull a trailer you described.. Just wondering.:biggrin_25511:

If what was to come was obvious, from the start... but it was not. The self-paid drug test WAS a clue, though! lol

I have just one year exp (this time trucking). I am 61 years old. I am not finding jobs, even though my license is clean, etc. etc. etc. They don't want older drivers...:biggrin_25513:

From the way it Looks at the Mt Sidney Va terminal Crosby is about ready to go out of bussiness anyway. The trucks have been sitting all week long there are hardley any loaded trailers on the loaded side of the trailer lot the empty side is boiling over. So I guess in crosby's case you get in return what you give. I tried Crosby.Butthole dispatchers. Burton and Guy are the only ones with a brain. As for the other ones. Josh thinks he is hot stuff a young redneck with a little bit of power, Britton does not know his butt from the moon and the other guy i cant remeber his name but he was a real tool. The tractor I had was an all out peice of scrap iron with wheels it smelled like a bushell of buttholes and a hugh arm pit each time I came back in I had to take it in to the shop and the butthole guys in the shop acted like I was the one that was breaking stuff on it. same case in the trailer shop i picked up a reefer in pa with broken hinges on one of the doors and the filthy ####### flat out accused me of breaking the hinges on door. I say filthy because he was literly filthy I think he forgot how to bathe properly.anyway the place is an all out dump

that was my impression, as well. they acted as if they knew they were going out and therefore were unwilling to spend any money on anything - especially to buy anything - to keep their equipment current and/or viable.

the folk at the evansville in. terminal were... ok. had no particular problems with them - just the standard "treat a driver like a moron" procedure.

    bottom line - STAY AWAY!
