Excuse me, but if a person just says "YES" to a search, anything the cops find in there will be blamed on the driver. For Team or slip seat drivers we dont know who has been doing what in that tractor.

Giving an officer of the law Carte Blanche to search the vehicle, means that you have given up your forth amendment rights, and you can be charged for something you didn't even know about such as drugs or many other things.

You need to be less naive about the laws and YOUR RIGHTS, IMO.

You DO know that many police officers and Police depts. are corrupt as all hell and law-breakers themselves, didn't you?

Cripes sakes, if you live in Chi-Town you should already know this.

Gee thank you. I only went to school for criminal justice and have previously worked for a private investigator so I could type on forums like these. :biggrin_25523:

All it takes is watching the show COPS to see that they are biggest lying sacks around.
Just as bad as the perps they pull over at times.
I do not thing it should be legal for them to do that and it #### sure aint ethical.

Then they get seriously butt hurt when the perp lies to them, and yet they are lying their butts off to the person(s) they just stopped.

Yeap. Thats why I recommend that one politely refuses to answer any questions that the police officer asks, as it can be easily taken out of context and/or be made out to be that you are lying to the officer.

The less you say the better in court, where it really counts, not on a street or freeway.

Always use the Miranda rights/ Fifth amendment and demand to speak to your attorney.

No matter, You still come across as someone who thinks police always tell the truth under oath and never lie or fabricate "probable cause" or so-called "evidence" in a court of law. :biggrin_2551:

"No, you may not search my truck. Or my things, because LEO's before you did not put things back where they belonged. Get a warrant or #$%^ off."

This is why you turn on your phones voice recorder before he comes to your cab, stick it in your pocket, and make sure your phone has a password on it. It is not against the law to be rude.
