LadyK as a team your down time is going to be very tight. Every fraction of a second counts. There were weeks that went by that we were not able to do laundry. I had actually found it was cheaper and less time consuming to buy packs of underwear and t-shirts and throw them out instead of washing them! Either that or they went to use as rags for cleaning the truck. You will find a lot of days you dashing to brush your teeth as your hubby fuels the truck. It will also seem a little more hectic at first until you get used to it.

Lady K and Wedge Thank this.

I just found out about that 17k bit last week.... I was thinking that "I" had to drive the 17 k...
I don't know if I can handle another week with this trainer... either that or I am going to super glue the heater controls and short out the wiring for the windows..... (just joking)

We are scheduled to be off in Fontana this weekend. A planner, wanted us to do a repower for a load going to WI.
We turned it down stating (to the DM) we are scheduled off this weekend.
The planner sent us another message telling us we had to take the load to save the load... Mike called the DM again so the DM pulled the delivery time for our load (that we was just going to drop in Henderson) to tonight... So we had to keep this load, to "save" it... I am not crazy about the fact that planners can go around the DM's and change loads like this....

We are in the Henderson Co. yard.... We don't deliver in Denver till 10:00 pm. Mike took off with his sister and I am relaxing in the truck, or at least till the mechanics come to get it and service it.
After we deliver tonight, we come back here and pick up another loaded trailer and run to Phonix Az. and deliver to Costco there.... Then I am not sure what we are going to be doing... But I am looking forward to this weekend.

I have been on this truck now for three weeks now and have been sick every day... I am now on my 8th bottle of day-quil (I am going to be in SO MUCH trouble when my wife reads this.... )

Definitely sounds like time to shut it down for a couple of days. I am just up in Loveland CO, wish I could get down to see you.

Yes you are!! You haven't said a word about this when I've 'talked/texted' you... Grrr... I'm just going to have to spank you!! <wink, wink>

Seriously though - careful - sure it won't make you drowsy, but too much Tylenol can hurt the liver... Love you!! ((HUG))

    Speed bumps...

I really don't like speed bumps!! My type of speed bumps are unexpected things that catch you when you are in the process of doing something life changing. Such as when I had a 'thing' on my lung, before I had surgery. Thankfully just some good antibiotics made THAT go away. This time I had a 'bump' on my gum and a swollen lymph node. Not really PAIN, but pressure and uncomfortable. Now knowing that I would not be near any medical facilities for a good long while, unless it was an emergency - I had to get it looked at right away. Me thinking "I get a shot in the butt of some antibiotic, and some pills - I'll be fine" - yep, God was laughing at my 'plan' again!! Yes I had an infection - but it was bad enough (I evidentally had if for a while) that I have lost some bone - and they had two ways of treating it. To save the tooth (what there was left of it) they could have come in (through bone) from the root side and cleared the infection away that way, or by not saving the tooth and getting it out of the way to get to the infection. Well I chose to have the tooth pulled... sigh... and with me leaving on Saturday, there isn't time for me to get a 'new' one in there (plastic bridge type of thing). So now I have a missing tooth, right in front!! Sigh... thank goodness my husband already loves me - and not just for my looks - LOL! Maybe it was God testing my resolve - what are you willing to give up to do this?? ... house/check - job/check - being there during your daughters pregnancy/check - front tooth/check... I wonder if there will be any other speed bumps before I leave??
